New Moon Rituals - Ideas and Manifestion Journals for the New Moon
New Moon Rituals and setting intentions for the month ahead of you is a fun and grounding practice for anyone to partake in. A new moon represents a time of new beginnings. Why wait for the new year to set goals, when this year isn’t over yet?! Use this time to reset your mind and do new moon rituals to manifest some big magic into your life!

I am no expert in tarot card reading or using sage and crystals, nor can I tell you if they really work…but it is something that peeks my interest. I am, however much more familiar and a huge believer in manifesting the life you want for yourself. I believe in energies, good vibes, bad vibes, breathing in the good, exhaling the bad and using visualization and journaling to attract the things/experiences you desire.

Think of it as “new moon, new me”! Take this time to rid yourself of all of the things that don’t ‘serve’ you anymore. Make space for new energy to enter your life. Toss out clothes you don’t wear, cut ties with people who drain you, unsubscribe to all those pesky newsletters (but not ours :P) and cancel subscriptions to things that you don’t really need.
Then, clean your house, make a snack, light your favorite candle and bust out your journal. It’s time to manifest those dreams! Journaling has many positive benefits and using your journal as a tool to attract and maintain a positive, healthier version of yourself can be life changing.
Using a journal to carefully mold your thoughts and words is more important than one would think. Positive thinking and gratitude isn’t just for hippies and yogis, it’s a practice that everyone could benefit from.

Visualize what you want and then write it down in a journal. Be specific and use present tense phrases like “I am”. Then, list out action steps you can take NOW to start achieving those dreams. You see, that’s the thing, you can’t just sit around dreaming, hoping and praying for the things you want. This life you dream of wont just magically appear. It’s going to take you taking action too. Hard work + good luck = perfect timing to make your dreams a reality!
Don’t let your journal become a place to only vent about life. Let your journal be a place for your dreams, hopes and desires, too. Let your journal be your playbook to life. Let it be the reminder of the things you want to happen in your life, not just a reminder of all the bad and sad moments.

Life can get dark, and its totally healthy to get that out in the private space of a journal, but just remember what Gandhi said, “… your thoughts become your words, your words become your actions…”. So don’t just journal about the bad, write about the good, even if there doesn’t seem to be a lot of good in your life right now, visualize what the ‘good’ looks like and write about that, concentrate on that, let that be what replays on a loop in your mind. Let yourself come back to that good place in your journal, when the real world is taking you somewhere else.
Your new moon rituals can look however you want, but using the new moon cycle like a fresh beginning is much better than putting off making those dreams a reality until the next new year (IMO).
