Creative Proposal Ideas - Propose with a Scrapbook

Creative proposal ideas come in all shapes and sizes, but one of our favorites is when one nervous but head-over-heels committed person contacts us because they're going to propose to the love of their life with one of our books.

This summer, we've had quite a few proposal photo album requests and it's been so much fun chatting it up with the men who are putting so much time and effort into designing something really special and unique for their future fiancees.

A month ago, Ryan emailed us about having a scrapbook album made for him to use in his marriage proposal to then- girlfriend, Jessica.

Being together for four years, and dating long distance, Ryan and Jessica experienced so many memories of travel and events and life that he felt a scrapbook would not only compliment Jessica's love for crafting and creating, but would help capsulize all they experienced together.

"I got the idea to propose using a scrapbook or photo book when I was thinking of ways to propose to Jessica," Ryan wrote to us. "Jessica is a very crafty person; she's made scrapbooks in the past, knitted articles of clothing, and designs/creates bow ties in her spare time." I knew she would really appreciate me trying to do something crafty."

Ryan found our Leather Rustic Photo Album on Pinterest and contacted us to make sure the album would work according to his proposal plan.

However, during the ordering process, his plan started to change as they celebrated their 4 year dating anniversary and Jessica announced she was going to make him a scrapbook as a gift.

"Her crafting skills are a lot better than mine, so I knew she'd like a part chronicling our relationship," Ryan wrote. "I decided to leave the first 20 or so pages empty to fill form our early stages in our relationship (with her help and input). About 20 pages in, I decided to give a tribute to Jessica, listing all the amazing qualities she has and pictures that relate."

Ryan went on to include pictures of the two of them in the places they've visited together and the places they've both lived during their relationship, along with the words, "No matter where life takes us, being with you will always be the best part."

A few pages later, he included a photo of the engagement ring with the question, "Will You Marry Me?"

We're happy to report that Jessica said yes!
