Citrus Wedding Colors and Ideas
Citrus wedding colors make for a bright and happy theme on your wedding day. And one that can be cost effect, as far a decorations are concerned (think center pieces, fruit is cheaper than a lot of flower options).
Pairing a bright citrus color with a neutral color is the perfect balance when it comes to bold color choices for your wedding. Often people shy away from bright and bold colors in fear of being too "trendy" and maybe regretting it in the future. However, I believe bright and bold colors can still be done in a classy, timeless way, just as well as any shade of beige!
Let me demonstrate with the citrus wedding colors: yellow, orange and lime (very BOLD wedding color options)...
When putting a bright a canary yellow with a stark neutral white, along side natural textures like silk, cotton, linen, burlap, etc. you will create a balance of bold + modern, meets classic + timeless.
Persimmon is a fun and festive color that could be used throughout the seasons. Matching it with a soft hue like blush will 'tone' it down and keep it within one color family. The 'safe' way to do bold colors in your wedding is to not choose too many. Let one color have the spotlight.
Lime green is certainly a bright color option for a wedding color, but personally it is one of my favorite colors and one that is found everywhere in nature. Making it a great color choice for a wedding as far as options and cost for your decor. Again, pairing a bright citrus color with other neutrals and natural textures is the way to go. Keep it simple and let the bright green be your punch of color. And don't let it make you completely shy away from metallics either. Look how good green and gold looks together! Again, don't over do it, bright color + other small accents and you're good! or GOLD (wink!) in this case.
