Last weekend, our bridal brand Claire Magnolia had so much fun being apart of The Big Fake Wedding Atlanta. Have you heard of it?
Not to be confused with My Big Fat Greek Wedding, but essentially it is what it sounds like. A BIG fake wedding! We mentioned it + posted a mood board for the event earlier this summer, you can check out that post here.
With over 50 vendors and nearly 275 guests in attendance we’d say the day was a huge success! As a creative, it always feels good to collaborate with other creatives and make magic happen.
Today we are sharing a few of the behind the scene photos that we snapped while we were at The Big Fake Wedding Atlanta, enjoy!
The Ceremony :
I’m telling you, this fake wedding was the real deal!
The bride marched down the isle to her groom to recite their vows and profess their love in front of 275 loved ones…strangers! Now, this bride and groom have actually been married for two years. They used this as an opportunity to renew their vows, in a truly unique experience.
You can see in the video clip below (actually, it was an Instagram story- do you follow us?) of the two reading their vows from our award winning Vow Book. This was also about the time that my camera battery died and I had the back up inside (armature hour). So, you will have to wait for the close up of the vow book from the real photographers at the event. Either way, it was cool to see our products in action!
The Reception :
Like I mentioned, there were about 50 vendors represented at this event. We all contributed at least one thing. For us, it was a Vow Book and a Guestbook.
For example, there were a few different bakers present. One did the cake(s), another did cake jar favors, and another the cookie bar. Because there were so many guest and tables, the planners each got to design one table + setting. So if you were wondering why the decorations + details vary so much, that is why. It was to give the guests a show of all of the possibilities and creative approaches to one theme [Indian Summer] .

In addition to the reception room, the ‘Tunnel of Love’ was a room across from the reception area where all of the vendors could set up a little display table. That way the guest could circulate about to the different vendors that they are interested in working with for their own weddings.
I snapped these pictures before the guest started to arrive, the calm before the storm!
I failed to mention that the ceremony was at Foxhall Resort Sporting Club in Newnan, GA. A super beautiful venue with lots of lush, green open fields and plenty of southern charm.
