Plan with Me January Bullet Journal 2019 Year at a Glance

Wednesday, January 30th, 2019

Plan with Me January 2019 Bullet Journal is finally up on our youtube channel! Better late than never, right? It truly is wild to think that it is already 2019 and that January is basically over, but here we are!

I think the wait was worth it though, for this video. This is my favorite bullet journal spread that I have created thus far and I am not sure how I am going to make next month’s just as ‘cool’ looking.

Ironically enough, before starting this month’s journal I turned to Pinterest for ‘minimalistic’ bullet journal inspiration….You know, so I could then do the exact opposite. Minimalism, and keeping things simple don’t come very natural to me, nor does a limited color pallet. And that’s okay, no need to be something I’m not.

I think, I was wanting to create something minimalistic, becuase 1.) filming these videos takes a longggg time, as does creating the journal spreads. So, I thought something more simple would save time 2.) I was thinking, maybe I would actually use my bullet journal everyday if I kept it simple…. All of that pretty much went out of the window as soon as the pencil hit the paper, because I can’t stop myself and more is more!

After a dead camera, broken computer screen, and many hours of doodling and video editing, I LOVE MY BULLET JOURNAL and so excited to share it with you (finally)!

With the new year, I decided it was time for a new journal too. I choose the Refillable Traveler’s Notebook that comes with 3 moleskine journal inserts that you can replace when filled up, without having to rebuy the pretty leather cover. The leather is thick, durable and will last me forever.

These refillable style journals are my favorite kind to use. I love how it wares over time, I love the size of them, not too big, not too small. Lastly, I love that you can refill it with moleskine journal inserts. There is nothing like the feeling of a nice leather journal, but I go through them way too fast to always be replacing it with another leather journal (if I didn’t work in the business, anyways).

Watch the video below to see how I’m planning and setting up my goals for 2019 and all of the spreads I created for this month’s Plan with Me.

As always, like the video, share it with your friends and leave a comment telling me what your favorite spread is from this month and help give me some ideas for next month!

Plan with Me: January 2018

Wednesday, January 10th, 2018

Hello 2-0-1-8!!! Hope you’re ready to Plan with Me all year long 🙂

I can not believe we are already back to January and into the year 2018, but here we are! And here I am with another Plan with Me bullet journal video for you.  Like so many other folks around the world this time of year, we are sitting down and reflecting on last year, while looking at the year ahead. Making new dreams and plans and revisiting ones we fell short on previous years.

The past couple of months I have really enjoyed jumping in on this whole bullet journal trend, and I plan to continue it into 2018. It truly is relaxing and productive, at the same time. Doodling and writing out things in your bullet journal is like therapy. It helps you clear your mind, organize your thoughts and create a ‘plan of action’ type approach to your day/week/month ahead. I’m hooked!

Being the start of the month and a new year, my Plan with Me January video is a bit longer, as it includes a few extra spreads to help me map out the year a head. In this video, I am using my Blue Sky Papers Leather Refillable Compostion Notebook with grided pages. I love using this leather journal because it is refillable and  can be used for years to come. And even though I can order my refills right through Blue Sky Papers, I know that I can go nearly anywhere (grocery store, drug store, etc.) and find a composition notebook refill.

I highly encourage you to start a bullet journal if it is something that you have been thinking about doing. Check out this post Bullet Journal for Beginners for tips on getting started and finding supplies. My biggest suggestion is to just start and don’t worry about all the BuJu “rules” (rules are for suckers, anyways! ;p), it is more important to just jump right in.

Find a journal you love and start using it. Over time, you will figure out how you like to use your bullet journal and set up your pages. Some folks get really into setting up their pages traditionally, and perfectly, making sure to use all the correct symbols- and that is awesome and fine (and there are plenty of youtube videos out there to help you do that) if that is what you like. But donnot let any of that stop you from starting. YOU CAN DO IT!

Check out our new Plan with Me January video below, and do us a favor and be sure to go to our youtube channel and like this video and subscribe to our channel! Thank you 🙂 We appreciate the support, always!

And here’s to being more creative and more organized in 2018! Cheers to the new year!
